How adultery can happen in our hearts

This is the seventh week of our summer sermon series entitled Guardrails. In this series, we are covering one of the ten commandments every Sunday. We’re looking at how each of God’s commands are boundaries that create beauty, fences that reduce fear and expand freedom, and guardrails that increase protection. These commands flow from the heart of a loving Father who wants abundant life for His children. This week we cover the commandment not to commit adultery. This commandment is a loving guardrail not only because it stops the pain of broken relationships and protects the sacred love of marriage, but at a deeper level, it sets us free from the lust and adultery that can dwell in our hearts. Let’s watch and learn God’s heart behind the seventh commandment and how we can flourish in relationships of covenant love.
