This is the third week of our Cultivate Tomorrow: Giving Campaign series. This week Mark Stephenson explains our incredible partnership with the organization Undue Medical Debt and unpacks the details behind 20% of every dollar donated to this campaign going to abolish medical debt in our community. The idea of debt cancelation has deep roots in the Bible going all the way back to the foundations of the people of Israel. The metaphor of debt cancelation is used repeatedly by Jesus and the other New Testament authors to explain the forgiveness of sin. This is a unique moment in the life of our church where a giving campaign could not only renovate our building but could set people free in our community, even leading to people coming to know Jesus for the first time. Let’s watch and learn how God can use debt cancelation and debt abolishment to usher in His Kingdom on the earth.
