What the Father, Son, and Spirit have done for us
Aug 23, 2026 • Mark Stephenson
This is the second week of our fall sermon series entitled “Perspectives from Prison: The Letter to the Ephesians.” In this series we are walking through Paul’s letter to the Ephesians that he wrote while under house arrest in Rome. This week we look at the first part of chapter 1, which is one of the longest continual sentences in the New Testament. Paul starts his message to the Ephesians not by focusing on them, but by praising God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. In doing so he reminds them of all that God has done for them “in Christ.” Let’s watch and learn what God the Father has done in eternity past, what Jesus, the Son, has done in history past, and what the Holy Spirit has done in our personal past.
