This is the third week of our Advent series entitled Messengers. In this series we are looking at the angelic encounters surrounding the birth of Jesus. This week we look at the angelic encounter that Joseph has in a dream. Joseph had every reason to divorce Mary when she was found to be pregnant before they got married. But when and angel speaks to Joseph in a dream, he reverses course. What is the significance of the Son of God being named Jesus? And why is it important that the people will call Him Immanuel?
