How God’s love and power are two sides of the same thing

This is the seventh week of our fall sermon series entitled “Perspectives from Prison: The Letter to the Ephesians.” In this series we are walking through Paul’s letter to the Ephesians that he wrote while under house arrest in Rome. This week we look at the second part of chapter 3, where Paul prays his second prayer for the Ephesians. This prayer is all about power and love. The power of the Spirit leads to a grounding in God’s love, which leads to more power, which enables a grasping and an experiential knowing of Christ’s love for us. Paul concludes with one of the most encouraging doxologies in the whole New Testament. Let’s watch and learn how God’s love and power are actually two sides of the same thing.
