– How Jesus’s Resurrection on the Third Day Was Foreshadowed in the Old Testament

This is Easter Sunday, the sixth week of our Lenten sermon series entitled Fulfilled. In this series we are looking at how Jesus was the fulfillment of Old Testament scripture in his life, death and resurrection. This week we look at how Jesus’s resurrection on the third day fulfilled multiple passages of scripture. We also look at the pattern of the third day throughout the Old Testament. God loves to show up in power, rescue, deliver and save on the third day. This pattern continues in Jesus’s ministry and in the resurrection on the third day. Let’s watch and learn how Jesus fulfilled many Old Testament passages that foreshadowed the resurrection on the third day.
