This is the sixth week of our fall sermon series entitled “Perspectives from Prison: The Letter to the Ephesians.” In this series we are walking through Paul’s letter to the Ephesians that he wrote while under house arrest in Rome. This week we look at the first part of chapter 3, where Paul unveils the mystery that was revealed to him. The mystery that past generations never knew but that is now revealed to the church is that the Gentiles have been brought into the covenant promises of God, with Israel, by grace through faith in Jesus. We are also reminded that Paul was an unlikely candidate to be the apostle to the Gentiles. Let’s watch and learn how God loves to use unlikely people for unlikely purposes.
