The opportunity to grow in community — walking with others — while pursuing a deeper, more intimate love relationship with Jesus is a rare gift. It’s also essential to a life with God. Believers grow best in the context of loving community. How, then, do we help folks walk with God together with others?
VCC offers a variety of catalytic events as an on ramp to authentic, spiritual community. These events are designed to help you grow while introducing you to others who might accompany you on the journey. We also offer a continuous process — a toolbox full of spiritual practices, and small groups — designed to support your walk with God.

ALPHA
Offered annually, the Alpha course is a 10-week introduction to the Christian faith. Each weekly gathering includes dinner, a 30-minute video, and table questions designed to help folks share their thoughts and ask their questions. If you’re new to the faith or you’d simply like to know more about Jesus, the Alpha course is for you!

Small Groups
Small groups, led by trusted folks who have completed our Small Group Leader Training, are the backbone of our life together as a community of believers. Though many of our groups are ongoing, new groups launch three times a year in February, June and October. Life with God Groups
So much of what passes for community leaves us feeling reticent to share openly. You’re more likely to say the right thing than the real thing. Life with God groups are based on the Life with God series developed by Debbie Swindoll of Grafted Life Ministries. These groups enable believers to walk in close community with others while engaging their relationship with God on a deep level. More than one hundred and eighty folks at Vineyard have completed the foundations of this series with more to come. New cohorts (15-18 people) form annually in January and are open to anyone.

They’re also a wonderful place for you to connect with others who’re on a similar journey with Jesus. The workshops vary in length (2-4 weeks), are very hands on and practical, and function as accelerator, introducing you to a variety of spiritual practices as a means to a deeper, more intimate relationship with God.
Deeper: Retreats
Our annual retreat, led by a team of trained spiritual directors, is an immersive experience designed to help you hear the voice of God, recognize the presence of God, rest in the love of God, and discover the free and light life Jesus promised. Built around the twin spiritual disciplines of Silence and Solitude, Deeper is an opportunity to step out of the traffic and simply be with God. Coming in January 2026.

Spiritual Direction
A spiritual director is more like a spiritual listener, companion, or friend. They provide an extra set of ears to help you hear the still small voice of God while pointing out the traps you may be falling into, and the themes that may be emerging in your spiritual life. Vineyard partners with a group of certified spiritual directors, all part of our church family, who are adept at holding open a space where folks can encounter God.
