What You Can Expect
At VCC Kids Ministry, we believe in a holistic, experiential, and Holy Spirit-driven approach to ministry. We want our children to experience God's love by encouraging them to wonder about and respond to Bible stories through play. During the service, children are invited to engage in activities such as art, building, reading, drama, play, and prayer.
Safety
When you arrive, your family will be greeted at our Welcome Desk, where you will receive a family security tag that guarantees the safe release of your children to authorized adults. All children's areas are protected with locked entrances and closely monitored to restrict entry to approved individuals only. Two volunteers oversee each classroom, and security cameras are actively monitored at the Welcome Desk for enhanced safety.
Serve
All volunteers must complete an interview, application, third-party background check, and ongoing training to ensure they fit well with our team. Join Our Team!
FAQ
Child Sick Policy
It is our desire to provide a healthy and safe environment for all children at VCC. Children with the following symptoms should NOT attend VCC Kids: fever, diarrhea, or vomiting within the last 24 hours; eye or skin infections; and other signs of communicable or infectious diseases. Your child must be fever-free, without the use of fever reducers (Tylenol, Motrin, etc.), for 24 hours before returning to children’s ministry programs.
If a child is found to be ill, VCC Kids leaders will notify the parent or guardian to arrange for the child's pickup as soon as possible.

Baby and Child Dedication
Baby Dedication offers parents and caregivers a wonderful opportunity to publicly present their child(ren) to the Lord. During this event, parents reaffirm their commitment to follow Jesus, attend and serve in a Christian church regularly, and pledge to raise their child(ren) in a nurturing environment. This setting is designed to help their child(ren) one day make their own decision to become a disciple of Jesus.
Child Baptism
CAN CHILDREN BE BAPTIZED?
Absolutely, as long as they thoroughly understand what they are doing. Vineyard requests that you wait until your children are at least 8 years old so that they can make an intelligent profession of faith that is their own. Before the age of 8, we would ask that you have your children dedicated to the Lord. We certainly believe that a young child can understand what they are doing in baptism, but the older a child is, the more they will understand and the more meaningful baptism will be for them. Remember, they do not need to be baptized in order to be followers of Jesus.

Special Needs?
Vineyard Kid’s ministry is thoughtfully designed to help every child feel safe and comfortable. During our weekend kids’ service, we even offer a sensory room specifically for children with special needs, ensuring that all kids can engage and enjoy their time with us!
