The Servant King

The first teaching in 2023's Advent series titled, "Celebrate the King" starts by focusing on the song in Isaiah 42 that shows us God is delighted in Jesus.

It shows us He was and is someone who is thoroughly loved, thoroughly enjoyed and highly favored, a chosen servant who pleases the Father in everything he says and does. In a similar logos, Mark Stephenson asks how we see Jesus? Do we think Jesus is just another abusive leader, controlling person, or manipulator? Is he one more person who doesn’t understand you or care about you, who’s going to use you to his own ends?

No, for Isaiah 42:3 says "A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice..."

Jesus wants to revive you, restore you, set your heart ablaze again.
